טְשָׁא
טְשֵׁי, טְשָׁא(v. טוּש II) 1) to hide, protect; to reserve. Targ. Ps. 27:5. Targ. Prov 2:1; a. e. 2) to be hidden, lie in wait. Targ. Ps. 56:7 יִטְשוּן בכמנא (ed. Lag. י׳ כמנא; h. text יצפינו, Kri יצפונו). Targ. Prov. 1:2; a. e.Taan.24a טָשוּ מיניה (הוו) they hid themselves before him. Ib. 29a טשא מינייהו hid himself before the Romans. Ab. Zar.70a כי היכי דטְשִׁינָא אנא אִיטְּשֵׁיוכ׳ as well as I hide myself here, an Israelite may have hidden himself ; a. e. Ithpe. אִתְטְשֵׁי, אִיטְּשֵׁי to hide ones self, to be hidden. Targ. Prov. 28:28. Ib. 27:5 מִטַּשְׁיָא hidden. Targ. Ps. 83:4 מִתְטְשִׁין (some ed. מִטַּטְשִׁי‌ן).Ab. Zar.70a, v. supra. Af. אַטְשֵׁי to hide. Targ. Prov. 25:2 Ib. 26:15.
